This policy explains what personal information JKP Software ("we", "us") collects and how it is used — on this website, in the services we provide to our account holders, and in the operational alert texts and phone calls we send them.
Alert texts and calls — what they are
JKP Software monitors and maintains servers and systems for its account holders. When one of those systems has a critical problem, JKP Software sends an alert text to the account holder's staff who look after it, followed by an automated phone call if nobody acknowledges it. We also use these alerts internally, and to develop and test the alerting itself. We never send marketing or promotional messages.
Information we collect
- Mobile phone number — only when you enter it yourself in your JKP Software account dashboard and choose to receive texts and/or calls.
- Alert records — which alerts were sent to your number, when, and whether they were delivered or acknowledged.
- Contact details you send us through this website or by email.
How we use it
- To send you the alerts you opted in to, and the confirmation, help and opt-out messages that go with them.
- To check that alerts are delivered and to troubleshoot problems.
- To reply to you when you contact us.
Text messages: what we never do
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
All the above categories exclude text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. Your number is used only by JKP Software and our telecommunications carrier (Telnyx) to deliver the alerts you asked for.
Opting out
Reply STOP to any JKP Software alert text and you will receive one confirmation and no further texts. Reply START to resume, or HELP for help. You can also remove your number in your account dashboard. See the Terms for full programme details.
Who we share information with
Only the providers needed to deliver the service, and only for that purpose: our telecommunications carrier (to send texts and calls) and our hosting and email providers. We may disclose information if required by law. We do not sell personal information.
How long we keep it
Your number is kept while you are signed up for alerts and deleted when you remove it. Alert records are kept for a limited time for troubleshooting.
